Giardia and Cryptosporidium cannot
be killed by chlorine added at municipal plants, and lead can leach into already-treated
water from old pipes and faucets. So what can you do to turn your drinking water into
safe, healthy, great tasting water? Our water filters have the solutions for cleaner,
safer, great tasting water on tap at a fraction of the cost of bottled water.
The British Imperial water filter can produce up to 20
gallons of drinking water per day, and when empty, weighs less than 7 pounds. It compacts
for easy transportation and storage. The compacted dimensions are: 9" x 14.5"
Assembly takes less than 2 minutes and requires no tools. Assembled dimensions are:
9" x 20 1/2" with a holding capacity
of 2 gallons.
Gravity feed water filter combines
original Doulton technology with increased capacity, a 40% faster flow rate.
Bottled water has a limited shelf
life. Our filter safely stores for years, ready when you need it. What
would you do if you had to survive for weeks at a time with no
supplies from outside sources? The British Imperial is a must have for
your emergency kit.
Are You Prepared For An Emergency?
From a strictly survival point of view, water
is the most important element for your body's survival. A person can
lose all reserve carbohydrate and fat, and about half the body's protein
without being in real danger. A loss of only 10
percent to 22 percent body weight as water is fatal.
Think about it! You need to
have a way to filter water in your emergency kit or emergency supply kit.
Bottled water isn't enough. If you had to survive for several weeks without
getting supplies from outside sources, how would you do it?
The amount of water lost from the body through
urine, water vapor from the lungs, and through perspiration averages 2.5
liters per day. Water loss must be made up by fluids consumed, and by
the water produced in the body as a result of metabolic processes.
The effects of dehydration on the body are
dramatic. They range from thirst to stronger thirst, sleepiness, apathy,
nausea, emotional instability, labored breathing and dizziness, delirium--and
finally death. Infants, children, the elderly or physically ill persons
are particularly susceptible to dehydration.
